Berendsen Fluid Power worked alongside the customer to identify the job requirements and the service needs at each of their facilities at Belmont, Broadmeadow Airport, Tamworth Regional Airport and Lismore Regional Airport, NRHRS has a large area to cover.
Berendsen’s work for the Northern Regional Helicopter Rescue Service:
The units consist of a hydraulic power unit with open loop and closed loop hydraulic circuits along with an ultra-high quality filtration system to provide the very high-quality levels of oil cleanliness required by the Augusta Westland Helicopters in the fleet.
The services and inspections required included an annual service, flushing, performance testing and reporting as per the unit manufacture’s specifications. We carried out the oil flushing and confirmation by an independent party along with the use of our offline particle counter to give same day readiness for each unit.
Part of the service involves gauge calibration on site. We achieved this with our independent hand pump gauge test unit and calibrated gauges to provide a test report for each system pressure gauge, all done onsite.
