Berendsen extends its involvement with BlueScope Steel with landmark supply agreement

Berendsen Fluid Power has always been very proud of its long-term supplier relationship with BlueScope Steel. For over twenty years Berendsen has provided precision offsite repair services for the acclaimed Port Kembla Steelworks, which have contributed to the productivity and success of the site over the years. In more recent times, Berendsen’s involvement with the site has broadened through its accreditation as an approved provider of onsite services.

In 2017 BlueScope embarked on a landmark initiative to optimise supply chain efficiencies, reduce cost and drive continuous improvement in relation to the hydraulic and pneumatics valves utilised on the site. This involved a formal tender process in which Berendsen was a participant.

The bar was set very high by BlueScope’s procurement team and Berendsen was one of a select group of suppliers that had the capacity to meet the all the requirements of the tender. We are very pleased to announce that our bid was successful.

This landmark agreement sees Berendsen becoming the preferred supplier of hydraulic and pneumatic valves to the BlueScope Steel’s Port Kembla steelworks and Springhill metal coating facility and takes Berendsen Fluid Power a step closer towards its goal of becoming BlueScope’s first choice provider for all fluid power requirements.
