Berendsen Fluid Power Welcomes New Branch Managers at Wetherill Park and Bundaberg

We’re pleased to announce two leadership appointments at Berendsen Fluid Power. Michael Groger has been appointed Branch Manager of our Wetherill Park branch, and Steve Millar takes on the Branch Manager role at Bundaberg.

Both Michael and Steve bring great energy and experience to these positions, and we’re looking forward to seeing them lead their teams and drive strong results in their respective branches.

Michael Groger

Branch Manager, Wetherill Park NSW

Michael joined the Wetherill Park team in September 2025 as Service Manager, bringing extensive technical, leadership and customer-facing experience to the branch.

From Apprentice to Technical Manager

Michael began his career with Liebherr as an apprentice, progressing through a range of hands-on and technical roles before ultimately becoming Technical Manager. Over that time, he developed broad experience across:

  • Mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and control systems
  • Team leadership and project management
  • Building strong, long-term customer relationships

Major Project Delivery

Prior to joining Berendsen Fluid Power, Michael worked as Crane SME and Construction and Commissioning Lead on a major offshore crane replacement project, leading key decommissioning, installation and commissioning activities.

Business and Leadership Capability

Michael has continued to develop his business and leadership capability throughout his career, including completing a Master of Business Administration alongside qualifications in leadership, business administration and mechanical engineering.

He is passionate about developing people, strengthening customer relationships and continually finding better ways of working. In his new role, he looks forward to building on the strong capability already within Wetherill Park and supporting the branch through its next stage of growth.

Steve Millar

Branch Manager, Bundaberg QLD

Steve brings extensive experience managing workshop operations and leading diverse teams to Bundaberg. His leadership style, built on clear communication, a positive team culture and best-practice processes, keeps productivity high without compromising on safety or quality.

Leading Service Operations at Scale

Most recently, Steve served as Service Manager at Komatsu Australia’s Emerald Branch, where he managed a service team of around 50 people while overseeing project management, budgets and customer equipment across mine sites.

Deep Mining and Heavy Equipment Experience

Before that, Steve held a series of Maintenance Superintendent, Maintenance Supervisor and Equipment Maintenance Manager roles across the heavy equipment and mining sectors, working on major mine sites throughout Queensland. Across these roles he has consistently delivered:

  • Strong safety outcomes
  • Cost control
  • Incident investigation
  • Client relationship management

Hands-On Technical Leadership

Steve holds a current QLD HR licence and has a solid background in mechanical and electrical systems, with a hands-on approach to mentoring teams and supporting their professional development. His breadth of operational and leadership experience positions him well to lead the Bundaberg branch into its next stage of growth.
