Berendsen’s sulphamate Nickel plating process utilises a 99.9% pure nickel deposit to provide higher surface durability and corrosion resistance for harsh environments.

Each of our facilities includes purpose-built stripping tanks, large grinding machines, specially configured plating cells and large linishing stations to complete the end-to-end hard chrome plating process without compromise.
Berendsen’s facilities operate numerous stripping tanks and grinding machines of various dimensions operated by skilled technicians with the experience and craft to remove old material with precision.
An array of electroplating tanks of various dimensions can accommodate hydraulic components up 12m. Bath chemistry and current density is carefully controlled to achieve uniform chrome deposits with optimal adhesion.
Optimal surface finish is achieved through a meticulous process of grinding, linishing and polishing to ensure the specified surface thickness and roughness for optimal performance.

Berendsen’s custom designed and built 360-degree horizontal rotation chrome plating tank in Sydney NSW is the absolute gold standard plating system and is engineered to deliver superior chrome deposit depth and concentricity for optimal service life of rods up to 12 metres.
The tank has a dual contact system, delivering optimal current density with ideal anode to cathode ratio for reduced contaminants and improved adhesion. It achieves chrome deposit depths over 200 microns – which is 4 times greater than average.
Our fully trained technicians use a rigid process coupled with a digital workflow system. Using tablet computers, every step in the process is tracked and monitored ensuring seamless quality control, resulting in superior-quality hard chrome products characterised by excellent chrome depth, uniform coverage and optimal adhesion.
