Moreover, Melbourne’s scale and capabilities are specialised for repairs to large, heavy-duty cylinders found on cranes and mining machinery. In this regard, the location in the heart of a fast-growing industrial area is strategically selected for its close proximity to the group’s newly acquired hard chrome plating facility – AST (Australian Surface Technology). This close association secures priority repairs for cylinder rods up to 12m in length – adding capacity and saving time where it counts.
